Suffering precedes glory. The Son of Man will establish the glorious Kingdom of God when He will return at His second coming but for now, He has come to suffer like Elijah and be rejected and be killed on the Cross for the sins of His people. For Christ and His followers, sufferings are never wasted but suffering always ends in the glory.
